WHAT WE DO

The Green Workers Alliance mobilizes current and future workers in the clean energy field to build support for green jobs policies that grow the sector and improve job quality. We are currently focusing our organizing on the  100,000 workers on utility-scale solar and wind projects and 125,000 workers in the rooftop solar field.

WHY NOW?

We need a massive green stimulus to create jobs and build a green economy. It must be big enough to take on the twin crises of environmental injustice and economic inequality that have been particularly devastating in Black and brown communities. This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity. There are millions of green workers, both employed and unemployed, ready to go to work in this new economy. There are millions of more workers who can be trained for the good, green jobs of the future. These changes won't happen without workers leading the way.

WH0 WE ARE

We are a project of the Powerswitch Action, a national network of leading regional advocacy organizations who support innovative solutions to our nation’s economic and environmental problems.
