WHAT WE DO
The Green Workers Alliance mobilizes current and future workers in clean energy and environmental fields to build support for green jobs policies. We are launching nationally online and soon will be organizing on the ground in Virginia.
WHY NOW?
As we rebuild from the current economic crisis, we need a massive green stimulus to create jobs and build a green economy. It must be big enough to take on the twin crises of environmental injustice and economic inequality that have been particularly devastating in Black and brown communities. This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity. There are millions of green workers, both employed and unemployed, ready to go to work in this new economy. There are millions of more workers who can be trained for the good, green jobs of the future. Now is the time for a Green New Deal, but it won't happen without workers leading the way.
WH0 WE ARE
We are a project of the Partnership for Working Families, a national network of leading regional advocacy organizations who support innovative solutions to our nation’s economic and environmental problems.
